Choice-Based Conjoint Analysis

Our Conjoint Capabilities

We design and run choice-based conjoint (CBC) studies end-to-end—from attribute and level design through survey programming, sampling, and fieldwork management.

Our analytics team estimates utilities and importance, runs scenario simulations (pricing, feature bundles, competitive sets), and supports segmentation to understand preference differences across audiences.

You receive decision-ready outputs—clear recommendations, supporting charts, and simulation results—so you can prioritize product configurations and pricing with confidence.

How We Work?

We design paper questionnaires optimized for both respondent completion and digital scanning. Layout includes clear formatting, OMR-compatible bubbles, barcode tracking, and logical flow. Professional printing ensures high-quality, scannable materials with appropriate paper stock and ink.

Trained field teams distribute questionnaires to target locations, manage respondent recruitment, provide completion assistance when needed, and collect completed surveys. We maintain chain-of-custody tracking, implement quality spot-checks, and ensure secure handling throughout fieldwork.

High-speed scanning equipment captures completed questionnaires. Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) technology reads checkbox responses, while Optical Character Recognition (OCR) processes numerical entries. Advanced software validates scanned data and flags anomalies for manual review.

Experienced data entry operators manually input open-ended responses, verify scanned entries, and correct any scanning errors. Double-entry verification, range checks, consistency audits, and skip pattern validation ensure accuracy. All discrepancies are reviewed against original questionnaires.

Comprehensive data cleaning removes incomplete responses, identifies outliers, and ensures logical consistency. Final datasets delivered in CSV, SPSS, STATA, or Excel formats with complete documentation, variable labels, open-end coding, and field disposition reports.

Frequently asked questions

01
When should we use choice-based conjoint?
Use CBC conjoint when you need to quantify real-world trade-offs across features, pricing, or packages and predict how changes could impact demand.
02
How many attributes and levels can be included?
It depends on respondent burden and design efficiency. We help optimize the design so you include enough attributes for decision-making while keeping tasks manageable.
03
What sample size is recommended?
Sample size depends on the number of segments you need and the complexity of the design. We recommend a base size sufficient for stable estimates and segment-level reads.
04
What analysis methods do you use?
We use industry-standard conjoint estimation approaches (including hierarchical Bayes where appropriate) and provide utilities, importance, and scenario simulations.
05
What deliverables will I receive?
Deliverables include utilities and importance scores, preference shares, market simulations for scenarios, and a clear recommendations deck. We can also provide a simulator file/dashboard.
